Traditionally, the corsage has always been pinned on to the lapel of the dress or suit.  These days, more and more women seem to be breaking out of the traditional mould and now corsages are seen more often on the wrist.  However, always remember the golden rule – a corsage is always worn on the left side and never on the right.  If possible match the corsage with the colour of the outfit.
